Vineyard Notes: From a collection of vineyards throughout the Sonoma Coast appellation. Easy vintage with really hot June. Nature pumped the breaks for most of August. Just shy of average yields across the board for all three vineyards. Harvested 8/20, 8/22, 8/30, & 9/10.
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Stainless steel fermented, aged for 9 months sur lees in 100% French oak; 20% new oak. Bottled unfined, unfiltered. Dark ruby in color. Nose is full of ripe raspberry and Bing cherry pie. Secondary aromas of blueberry, Asian spice, soy, spring rain and a touch of tarragon. Velvety mouthful of red fruits and cherry cola. Secondary flavors of Bing cherry, and ripe tangerine give way to long, bright finish and polished tannins.
