Vineyard Notes: Located in Annapolis sitting high up on a knoll where you can see the Pacific on a clear day. Soils are a mix of alluvial + Goldridge loam. Mix of Dijon clones. Solid vintage up there from start to finish. Harvested on September 3rd.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes: Stainless steel fermented. Aged for 16 months sur lees in French oak barrels, with 35% of the barrels being new. Bottled unfined, unfiltered. Darker shade of ruby in color. Big nose of candied red fruits, watermelon Blowpop, bay leaf, and hints of rose petal. Ripe, big flavors of pomegranate, red cherry pie with lots of tea and rose hips. Silky, long finish with hints of plum and tobacco.
