Vineyard Notes: Sustainably farmed, cool climate site, river cobbles and Goldridge loam soils. Another great vintage here with perfectly cool evenings and warm days. We harvested the grapes September 12th.
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Barrel fermented in neutral French oak. Golden yellow in color. “Spring in a glass” noted one of our main sniffers. Floral notes of Meyer lemon, apricot, mandarin oranges, and honeysuckle. Background notes of gardenia, spicy licorice, and minerals. A big mouthful of apricot, pear, lemon tart and spicy orange marmalade with a hint of orange rind give way to a long, lingering finish.
