2012 Wind Gap James Berry Chardonnay

The ideal balance of warm sunny days and cool breezy nights have made our 2012 whites bright and fresh and loaded with site-specific flavors. Planted in the late 1960s this small parcel of Wente-Clone Chardonnay vines line the rolling chalky-white Limestone filled hillsides.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Kaffir Lime, wet stones and ocean air fill out the aromas of this vibrant 2012. The initial attack is linear and laser-beam precise but quickly fills out with dense fruit. The finish is all about minerality and freshness, but the richness of old-vine fruit lingers and makes for a very Chablisian styled California Chardonnay.
