Vineyard Notes: Biodynamically farmed, cool climate site. Great vintage year with normal spring bud break, warm summer and a few hot days leading up to picking. We harvested the fruit on October 27th.
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Aged for 28 months in neutral French oak barrels, sur lees. Dark purple in color. Classic Northern Rhone nose of black olives, cassis, violets and garrigue. Secondary aromas of blackberry and herbs de Provence. Velvety mouthful of pomegranate, cassis, black olive, white pepper and soy. Finishes long with ripe tannins, plum, cinnamon, and baker’s chocolate.
