2011 Wind Gap Gap's Crown Pinot Noir

Gap’s Crown Vineyard is located on the western facing flank of Sonoma Mountain and faces directly into the Petaluma Wind Gap. Sonoma Volcanic soils dominate the very steep slopes along w/ cobblestones and very little top-soil. These shallow soils along with the cool windy location provide us with a unique opportunity to make a richly textured wine with transparent flavors and freshness.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Fresh fruit with loads of savory umami laden flavors frame the impactful character of this rather special California Pinot Noir. Dense and concentrated while remaining lithe and focused, this is full, rich, complex and sexy stuff that has gorgeous purity and finesse.
