2011 Wind Gap Sceales Vineyard Grenache Image

2011 Wind Gap Sceales Vineyard Grenache

Planted in the 1930’s on a sandy piece of bench-land in the Alexander Valley, these gorgeous, dry-farmed old vines exude the sun, site and soil of where they are grown. Our first vineyard designate Grenache from this extreme location was years in the making; 2011 will be the first of many wines from this historic Grenache planting. Pronounced “Seals”, this wine tastes so purely of Grenache grown in sand, with intense vibrancy and energy.

Tasting Notes
Vibrant red fruits and a highly energetic intensity of pure Grenache flavor are almost overwhelming. In the mouth the wine is loaded and layered w/ ripe fruit, nice spice and that energy that you can see and feel in the wine. A brilliant medium bodied red wine that will dazzle with it's vibrancy and energy.
